Web-based Materials
Since I have been in my English 3241 class, I have had to expore a lot more on the internet. There is an abundance of great resources on the web but there is also a great deal of information that is irrelevant. We have learned how to navagate through material and pick out sites that would be good sources but some are deceiving. Wikipedia can be a good starting point for information as long as there is other sources that provide back up for this information. Using technology in the classroom is vital for this generation and generations to come. Most sites that end in .org or .edu are reliable sources for reseach, however, one must check there reliability. This could could checked by noticing the author, how often the page is updated, and making sure the links on the page work and take you to the right place. With this information students will be on the right track for creating a good project or report.
