Web 2.0

Web 2.0 makes the internet very personal.  It is not just about the big picture any more, it is about making everyone’s opinion matter.  I can’t help but think about the movie Click when I think about web 2.0.  It seems like we are letting the internet take over our thoughts and our lives.  Instead of looking for things we like we can just sit back and wait for the internet to tell us what we might be interested in.  It seems to me like our minds and thoughts have to be bombarded every second of everyday.  I am not saying that the new web 2.0 is bad, it has a lot of great qualities for teaching and learning thing we might not have known in the first place.  Teachers can use the web 2.0 for updating students, parents, and other teachers on events that, otherwise, might be difficult to communicate.  It will improve the classroom and make learning more enjoyable and easier.  On the same hand I would not want for anyone to completely depend on this for everyday life.

  1. I really like your opening statement in this post — about the personal nature that Web 2.0 brings to the Internet! That really plays into the democracy and equality that Web 2.0 creates by allowing everyone a voice, by allowing everyone to be an author.

  2. Charles Travis Says:

I could not depend on Web 2.0 for everyday life. I like to eat too much and web 2.0 does not have good nutritional value.
